Chartered Accountancy course is offered by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Duration of Course: For completing this course minimum duration is 5 years for intermediate and 4 years for graduates / post graduates.

C.A. Course comprises of three part of viz. Common proficiency test(CPT), inter and final

CPT : Candidates who passed / appeared Intermediate Examination or equivalent thereto are eligible to appear CPT examination which is held in the months of June / December (Two times) in a calendar year.

1. Fundamentals of Accounting	2. General Economics
3. Mercantile Laws	4. Quantitative Aptitude

Standard of pass 50% of total marks.

After passing CPT examinations, the candidate has to enroll for CA-Inter (IPCC) and ITT (Information Technology Training Program) and Orientation Program. After completion of 9 months from the date of registration and 100 hours ITT and Orientation Program the candidate is eligible to appear Inter examination which is held twice in a year. Inter comprises 2 groups with 7 papers.

FINAL : After passing of Group-I or both groups in IPCC the candidate should under go a practical training for 3 years from a qualified Chartered Accountant as article clerk. After passing of CA Inter and 2 1/2 years practical training the candidate is eligible to appear Final examination which contain 2 groups with 4 papers in each group.
